Instead of relying entirely on downloaded files, you can create a Windows 10 upgrade installation DVD. This is done using the file MediaCreationTool.exe which can be downloaded directly from http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=691209. The upgrade must be installed on a PC with a valid copy of Windows 7 or 8.1; otherwise a product key must be purchased from Microsoft.
In this case, an installation DVD was created for a another PC.
Uncheck the “Use the recommended options for this PC” checkbox and select the Archtecture option needed for the PC to be upgraded.
Select “ISO file”.
Select the appropriate drive letter for the disk burner, and click the “Burn” button.
“The disc image has been successfully burned to disc.” once the DVD-ROM has been successfully created.
