The popular image sharing website Imgur.com recently revealed a 2014 data breach of 1.7 million user email address and SHA-256 algorithm encrypted passwords.  This is a small percentage of total Imgur users.  Imgur did not collect any other user information.

Imgur found out about the incident from Troy Hunt, who runs data breach notification website Have I Been Pwned,  according to ZDNet.com.
