Lynda.com, the online learning platform owned by LinkedIn, offers free training through participating public libraries for library card holders through its Lynda Library program. The library patron must log in through their local library’s digital resources website and not through the main Lynda.com website. Microsoft allows users to take its certification exams remotely as well as at Pearson VUE testing centers by using Online Proctored (OP) Exam Delivery. The user’s computer will have to meet certain system requirements and the user will be monitored remotely by an exam proctor via webcam and microphone.

The Professional Association for SQL Server (PASS) will have a live stream of events held at the Seattle PASS Summit 2017 conference on November 1st, starting at 08:10 AM Pacific Daylight Time.

On October 12th 2017, Google announced a one billion dollar grant initiative to nonprofits around the world to help train workers as well as grow businesses.
